Dog Licenses

Licensing Requirements
Dogs are required to be licensed every year by Michigan State Law. The license is valid January 1st through December 31st and are available for sale beginning the 1st of each December preceding the valid year. To avoid a late fee purchase by June 1st.

Where to Purchase
Dog licenses are sold at Clarkston City Hall, located right at Depot Park, where dogs are always welcome. You can also purchase your dog license online at Oakland County Animal Control. (Licenses purchased online are subject to a $2.50 service fee) Also, check your local veterinarian. 

Proof of Rabies
To obtain a license, a proof of current rabies vaccination is required.

* 3-year tags are also available with proof of a 3 year rabies vaccination.
