Help Improve the Depot Park Playground!

Anyone can help Depot Park in downtown Clarkston become bigger, better, and safer!  The Friends of Depot Park want to continue to upgrade the playground equipment with a safe and fun Climbing Structure and Slide.

With the coordinated efforts of the Clarkston Area Optimists Club, the Friends of Depot Park, Girl Scout Emily Herrmann and others, the Depot Park playground was recently improved with a new Tot Swing, Geo Climber, Tire Swing, Cozy Cocoon, Xylophone and Musical Flowers. The popular Train and Car were fully refurbished and painted, and new mulch was spread throughout the area. But the biggest challenge is yet to come… the team wants to replace the large Climbing Structure and Slide because the current version does not meet playground safety guidelines. This large structure has a $40,000 price tag. The Optimists have donated $10,000 towards the goal and are seeking donations for the remaining $30,000 via a Go Fund Me Page.
