Depot Park is the only real gathering place but it is away from the every day traffic so there is less interaction of people and businesses. Let's add some gathering areas and art so that more people have a reason to come and socialize in the city.

There is a ton of bike traffic up and down Holcomb. Extending the sidewalk would create safer travel for bikers and families as they go over I-75 and beyond. I've seen a fair amount of young children with their parents and teens riding their bikes on the side of Holcomb and I cringe. Additionally, if it extended down to Springfield Elementary I think there would be a significant increase in the amount of families that would opt to travel via walking or biking to the school and/or downtown. Not a bad way to spend some of the $90k+ that Clarkston is going to receive from the federal government stimulus; not that $90k would cover a project of that size.

We should have some sort of recycling and compost program that's open to the public.

Hello,
Northview Dr. runs from M-15 to Perry Lake. High school kids cut through to avoid the light Clarkston Rd. The rate of speed that most of the kids drive is very alarming. There are quite a few families on this street that have children. This street also has no sidewalks so people walk their dogs, jog, bike, push kids in strollers etc. Today there were 2 kids riding bikes and they were almost hit by a car. It's only a matter of time before a child or jogger etc is hit. I don't know what the long term fix would be but even a radar set up might help. I am a parent of 5 and I can't even let the kids go out front because I'm scared. Please let me know if there is anything that is in place that the city may have done in the past to deal with something like this.

Please consider putting in a 4 way stop at the intersection of Indianwood Rd and Dartmouth. The development of 2 subdivisions and another one going in on Indianwood Rd, and the homes from the trailer park on Oakwood have created a raceway that is all day and night. Aside from the noise, this is also an intersection for the Clarkston and Lake Orion bus stops. This has always been a hot spot for accidents and near misses. Thank you for your consideration.
